Step into the hallowed workshops of Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux or the plains of Le Locle, and you enter a realm where time itself is measured by a different standard. Here, master watchmakers, known as horlogers, practice skills honed over generations. This is a world of anachronism in the most beautiful sense.

Consider the movement, the calibre—the heart and soul of the watch. It is a labyrinth of tiny components, some no thicker than a human hair, each meticulously finished by hand. Bridges are adorned with Côtes de Genève, a wave-like pattern that is as functional in trapping dust as it is beautiful.
